Our Izumo matcha is an ceremonial grade, single origin, first harvest matcha that hails from Izumo, a city in Izumo, Shimane, Japan, famous for its tea. Tea grown in Izumo is known to have a very round taste with vibrant color, natural sweetness and low astringency and earthy.

A ceremonial grade matcha that can do it all: hot tea, over ice, or in a latte, this strain evolves and brings different facets of flavor depending on your drink of choice. It has a rich emerald green color and aromatic hints of sweetness and umami when first whisked into a smooth paste.

Our signature Izumo matcha is bold and vibrant in color with a deep and rich flavor. It’s aromatic with some umami notes that linger on the tongue.

Sourcing: We work with a local Japanese supplier based in Izumo, Shimane, Japan to bring you our ceremonial blend matcha. Priding themselves in partnering with the highest skilled artisan farmers, they specialize in green tea cultivars. Leaves are hand-picked and then stone milled to ensure the highest matcha powder integrity.
